Love!!

Love, what is it? Is it a feeling, an emotion, an expression? How can love really be defined? According to dictionary.com the definition of love is "a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person." Another definition from that same site is "to need or require; benefit greatly from." So another question I have is can you Love someone so much that you suffocate someone? Not literally speaking but meaning you do not let them spread their own wings and experience life? Something else that was on my mind is this, is it possible to be so in love with someone and be blinded to the hurt you cause them? Love is a tricky thing. It can be a blessing to some but harmful to others, in my opinion I guess.
